Mountain View FAQ

Yes! We specifically selected cabins with outstanding views. All 6 properties feature stunning Smoky Mountain vistas. Several have direct Mt. LeConte views, while Mountain Air Lodge offers unique city light views of Gatlinburg below.

Mt. LeConte is one of the most iconic peaks in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. At 6,593 feet, it's the third-highest peak in the park. It's home to LeConte Lodge (the only lodging inside the park) and can be reached via several hiking trails, including the popular Alum Cave Trail. Seeing it from your cabin and then hiking to the top is an amazing experience!

That beautiful blue haze isn't smoke at all - it's actually natural volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released by the dense vegetation, primarily from the forest's trees. These natural emissions create the bluish haze that gives the "Smoky" Mountains their name. It's especially visible in the warmer months.

Clear days after rain offer the crispest visibility. Early mornings often feature beautiful mist. Fall (October) brings stunning foliage colors on the mountainsides. Winter can bring snow-capped peaks. Summer evenings offer spectacular sunsets. Honestly, every season has its own magic!
