Where should I stay for the Smoky Mountains synchronous fireflies?
Stay in Gatlinburg near the park. These cabins sit about 3 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance, so they work as a base for the Elkmont firefly lottery. Viewing access is run by the National Park Service, not by the cabins. See the fireflies guide for lottery timing.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 4:00 PM Eastern. Check-out is 10:00 AM Eastern. The minimum stay is 2 nights, and some peak weeks require longer.
