How to Block Cabins for a Wedding Weekend
Hotel room blocks fall apart in Gatlinburg — the good properties won't hold inventory and your guests end up scattered across the Parkway. Cabin blocking works differently and better: reserve Big Sky Lodge and Funky Bear Lodge together (24 beds across the two), assign the bridal party to one and the groom's side or family to the other, and the whole wedding party wakes up on the same ridge 30 seconds apart. For smaller weddings, add Million Dollar View for parents and grandparents — its three king suites each have a private bath, which the over-60 contingent will thank you for.
- 9–12 months out: Block the cabins. Wedding-season Saturdays (May, June, October) book a year ahead.
- Who pays: Most couples have each side split its own cabin; a 2-night Big Sky stay across 12 guests usually lands between $60–$90 per person per night — under most hotel blocks, with a kitchen and theater included.
- Multi-cabin discount: Booking two or more cabins for the same dates qualifies for our group rate plus coordinated arrival help.
- Hair and makeup: The great rooms have the natural light artists ask for; several Gatlinburg stylists make cabin house calls — book them 3+ months ahead.
Photos Your Photographer Will Thank You For
Getting-ready shots on a deck with the Smokies behind you beat a hotel hallway every time. Morning light on the east-facing decks (Million Dollar View especially) is ideal for bridal-party photos before a midday ceremony, and the great-room staircases handle the classic dress shot. After the ceremony, the SkyLift Park and Anakeesta overlooks are 10 minutes away for golden-hour couple portraits.

Wedding Party FAQ
Our cabins are perfect for wedding party lodging but not for the ceremony/reception itself. The community doesn't allow events with outside guests. However, they're perfect for getting ready, rehearsal dinners with your staying guests, and post-wedding celebrations!
Absolutely! Many wedding parties have hair and makeup artists come to the bride's cabin on wedding morning. The open floor plans and multiple bathrooms make it easy to set up stations for the bridal party.
10 bathrooms total across both cabins! Each bedroom has its own attached bathroom. No fighting for mirror space - every bridesmaid and groomsman gets their own.
Yes - the cabins have plenty of space for wedding attire, gifts, and supplies. We recommend bringing garment bags for dresses and suits. Some guests have flowers delivered directly to the cabins.
