Later in 2026, Anakeesta will debut the enchanting Firefly Experience. This magical light show brings the wonder of synchronized fireflies to life year-round, combining storytelling, nature, and technology for an unforgettable evening experience.

How to visit Anakeesta from our cabins in 2026

Anakeesta sits on a downtown Gatlinburg mountaintop. The base station is on the Parkway. Our cabins are about 8 minutes (2 miles) from downtown, so you can take an afternoon ticket, ride the Crystal Express (glass-bottom cabins, about a 4-minute lift), and still be in your own hot tub after dark. Check Anakeesta's site for current ticket prices and hours. We do not quote attraction prices here because they change.

What changed in 2026: Anakeesta closed in early January for construction, reopened in March with the Ridge Rambler covering the lift until Crystal Express debuted in spring, and rebuilt Firefly Village plus the Treetop Skywalk. Blooms and Tunes is the spring garden-and-music season (typically March through June, with the fullest floral displays late April through May). Weekdays at opening are the calmest. Late afternoon is better if you want sunset and evening lights.

Who should stay where: couples and small families in Million Dollar View, Dream Big, or Serenity (each sleeps 8). Groups of 9 to 12 in Big Sky Lodge or Funky Bear Lodge. If you want a full Anakeesta day plus a park morning, you can do both from this ridge because Sugarlands is about 7 minutes away.
